The Dekalb Public Library is joining a 21st-century community-building initiative inspired by Benjamin Franklin’s “club for mutual improvement,” launched more than 200 years ago. Ben Franklin Circles are dedicated to exploring one of the following virtues: Temperance, Silence, Order, Resolution, Frugality, Industry, Sincerity, Justice, Moderation, Cleanliness, Tranquility, Chastity, and Humility. This month we will be discussing industry, of which Franklin’s definition is “Lose no time. Be always employed in something useful. Cut off all unnecessary actions.” This program is FREE and intended for teenagers. Snacks will be provided. No registration is necessary. DSATS will hold a public hearing on the addition of an IDOT project to replace guardrail end posts at several locations throughout DeKalb and Kendall Counties. This hearing will be held as part of the DSATS March 2018 TAC meeting.

The DSATS Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) is the advisory committee for DSATS. The Committee is made up of engineering and technical staff of the member organizations and Transit and Educational organizations. TAC meets every 1st Tuesday of the month unless canceled or moved due to special circumstances.
