March 19, 2018, 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM @ DeKalb Public Library, Teen Study Rooms

Relationships, like art, are creative! No two relationships are the same, but by practicing good communication, boundaries, and consent we can bring more health and happiness to every unique relationship. Creative Relationships 101 is a series of 4 workshops that will use conversation, games, and art-making to help us explore, understand, and improve connections with friends, family, crushes, classmates, and boos. Workshops are Healthy Relationships, Boundaries and Communication, Consent, and Creative Relationships Wrap Up. This week we will be discussing consent. Define consent, understand how it works & why it is important, and explore the concept of FRIES: That true consent is Freely Given, Reversible, Informed, Enthusiastic, and Specific. This FREE program is intended for tweens in grades 6-8. Registration is not required. Folks will not be admitted into workshops more than 10 minutes after the start time.
