Are you applying for jobs, but not getting interviews? Are you having a hard time figuring out the best way to show potential employers why would be the best person to fill their open positions? Are you worried that your spelling or grammar is preventing hiring managers from taking you seriously as a candidate? Register now for a 45-minute résumé review with the library’s Head of Adult Services, Britta Krabill. Britta has been trained in résumé preparation by the Illinois WorkNet Center. She will help you decide the most effective content and structure for your résumé, as well as assist you with spelling and grammar. Appointments are available at 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6 and Thursday, February 8. Each appointment lasts 45 minutes. Off of school early and looking for something to do? How about personalizing a 3D heart for Valentine’s Day? You design it, we’ll print it out for you in plenty of time to “hand your heart” over to that special someone. Design it on your Chrome Book or our laptop using the free, web based software. This class and the accompanying 3D print is completely FREE! We do ask that participants be at least 8 years old, and have basic computer skills. No experience with 3D design or printing is required.
