DeKalb Sycamore Area Transportation Study

    The City of DeKalb and DSATS are accepting BIDS on the installation of bus shelters. This project is located at various street side bus stop locations along the HuskyLine and VAC Transit Green and Blue line bus routes within the City of DeKalb, City of Sycamore and DeKalb County. The work consists of the installation of new bus shelters, including concrete pads, and trash receptacles.

  2. City of DeKalb Fixed-Route Transit Service Provider RFP Proposal Period

    July 24, 2018, 8:00 AM - September 7, 2018, 1:00 PM

    The City of DeKalb (hereinafter CITY) is seeking proposals from transportation providers (hereinafter PROPOSER) interested in providing fixed route bus service within the urbanized area of DeKalb Illinois (see Appendix B:Service Area) including the City of DeKalb, the City of Sycamore, and on the Northern Illinois University campus. Service shall begin on or about January 1, 2019 and end December 31, 2023. Based on funding and mutual agreement of the CITY and the selected PROPOSER, the agreement period may be extended for up to two additional twelve-month periods. The CITY, as the fiscal agent for all state and federal public transit funding for the DeKalb Illinois urbanized area, shall have direct oversight over all day to day operations of the selected PROPOSER.
