The City of DeKalb, IL will accept sealed bids for the purchase and delivery of fifty five (55) gallon drums (approximately 650 pounds/drum) of Ortho/Poly blended phosphate to the City of DeKalb – Water Department located at 1216 Market St., DeKalb, IL for a period of three years (36 months) with two optional yearly extensions. Ortho/Poly blended phosphate is used at the City of DeKalb – Water Department’s five (5) potable water treatment plants to treat drinking water for corrosion control and for iron sequestration. The City expects to use a total of approximately 65,000 pounds of ortho/poly blended phosphate annually during the term of this contract. Specifications and all Contract Documents are available on-line on the City of DeKalb’s web page at www.cityofdekalb.com/bids.  They may also be obtained from the City of DeKalb Water Department,1216 Market St., DeKalb, IL 60115. All Bids must be sealed and clearly marked “Ortho/Poly blended phosphate bid” and received  at the City of DeKalb, City Hall Building, Attn:  Ruth Scott, City Manager’s Office, 164 E. Lincoln Hwy., DeKalb, IL 60115 not later than 2:00 p.m., October 6, 2020.  All bids will be publicly opened immediately thereafter.
