Beginning Monday, May 24, the City of DeKalb Public Transit System's Route 19E and Route 19 will provide periodic access to the Ferrara Candy facility located along Gurler Rd. The service will operate from 4:00a - 12:00a, Monday - Friday, and will accommodate employees traveling to or from work. Designated stops at the facility were based upon the starting and ending times of employee shifts provided by Ferrara.
In addition to the extended service area, the Route 19 will also begin operating all day service on May 24. The Route 19 currently does not operate between 9:00a and 12:00p; however, effective May 24, the Route 19 will run straight through from 4:00a - 12:00a, Monday - Friday. -
