[ARCHIVED] Mask Mandate Remains in Place for Public Transit Passengers

cdc

On Friday, August 20th, 2021, the Transportation Security Administration announced the extension of the face mask requirements for all transportation networks, including public transportation, through January 18, 2022.

According to the Federal Transit Administration website, "Science-based measures are critical to preventing the spread of COVID-19.  Mask wearing is one of several proven life-saving measures, including physical distancing, appropriate ventilation, vaccination and timely testing, that can reduce the transmission of COVID-19.  Requiring masks will protect America's transit workers and passengers and help control the transmission of COVID-19."

The City of DeKalb and Transdev Services Inc. are committed to ensuring the safety of our passengers and employees and will continue to monitor and implement directives from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).
