New Credit Card Fees

Beginning in early February 2019, residents will notice additional fees when paying by credit card/debit card online or in person at City Hall. For years, the City has been absorbing the costs of credit card processing fees, a practice that is no longer economically feasible. In January 2016, the City Council approved a resolution to pass fees on to the customer. With the implementation of new financial software, the City is now able to support this feature. The City is notifying residents of this change prior to implementation. The new fees are listed below:

  • Online - Utility Billing Credit Card/Debit Cards Payments: $3.25 per transaction with a cap of $450.00 total amount due. If the total amount of the transaction exceeds $450, multiple transactions will be required.
  • Online - All Other Credit Card/Debit Card Payments: 2.95%
  • Online - One-time ACH Payments: $1.95 per transaction
  • At Counter - All Credit Card/Debit Card Payments: 2.30%
