Join Denny Vaupel and Jill Buhagiar for after-hours concert Honey on the Rocks in the library’s main lobby! They bring a selection of their favorite jazz standards, familiar pop tunes, and an occasional surprise.

Denny Vaupel is a retired grade school band director, having spent 40 years in Waterman, East Aurora, and St. Mary Dekalb schools. His performance experience also goes back many years with groups such as The Shananigans, Class Act and Jazz in Progress big bands, Kishwaukee Concert Band and Black Tie Jazz Trio. He has been part of over 100 musicals with Dekalb’s Stagecoach Players, Indian Valley Theatre, Vince Carney Theatre and several area high schools.

Jill Buhagiar worked with Denny in 2 Stagecoach musicals and in various musical ensembles including The Versatiles and Honey on the Rocks, in the early 80s. She then “ran off to sea” for a year singing and dancing onboard the cruise ship SS Oceanic. After returning to land, she joined Qantas Airways Reservations in San Francisco.

This concert is free and open to all. No registration is required.
