Starting on March 20, 2023, the fare will change from 

$2.00 for General Public

$1.00 for NIU persons with a ONE card

To

$0.50 for General Public

$0.00 (Free) for NIU persons with a ONE card

RIDER ALERT

Effective January 16, 2023

Increased frequency and service on Route 12 (Elburn) Monday - Friday

Starting Tuesday January 17, 2023, the route 12 will increase its AM trips from two (2) to five (5) trips each morning and from one (1) trip to five (5) trips each evening Monday through Friday. The departure times of the trips have changed to adapt to the service times change Metra introduced on December 5, 2022. The number of trips that are run on Saturday and Sunday (AM and PM) will not change, but the times may have been adjusted.

Temporary Stop Closure

Route 21 ONLY

 Friday, March 24, 2023.

0700a until approximately 0500p

 The closure request is to allow for crane to position on Grant Street.  A temporary stop will be posted at  Stark Ave and Grant St.

Effective March 20, 2023

Park and Ride location for the Route 12 (Elburn) 

Effective March 20, 2023, the City of DeKalb will repurpose the Frost lot, located between 6^th St and 7^th St on Locust into a Park and Ride lot for the Elburn route 12.  

There is no charge to use the lot.
