About the DeKalb Municipal Airport

Who We Are

The City of DeKalb's Airport Division is made up of three primary individuals:

Airport Manager (Assistant Public Works Director), Airport Maintenance Tech, Administrative Assistant.

All of whom are supported by a team of forty-two full-time city personnel who together make up the Department of Public Works.

DeKalb Flight Center is DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport's FBO (Fixed Base Operator).

DeKalb Flight Center offers fueling services to all aircraft from large corporate jets to small piston powered aircraft.

DeKalb Flight Center also provides aircraft handling, cargo loading and unloading services, as well as aircraft hangar storage.

Fly America provides aircraft maintenance and flight training.

Win Aviation also provides piston aircraft maintenance.

Win Aviation is one of the largest leaser's of parachuting aircraft in the country.

Aerodrome Mechanics provides aircraft maintenance.

Eagles Nest Condo Hangar provides sales of condo T-Hangars and corporate hangars.

What We Offer

The Department of Public Works Airport Division oversees all of the operations and maintenance services at DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport (DTMA), including Capital Improvement projects.

The airport provides aircraft fuel sales (100 Octane Low Lead and Jet A); flight instruction; hangar storage facilities; aircraft repair and service; VFR and IFR navigational aides, i.e., a full Instrument Landing System, GPS approaches to all runways, current weather conditions via the Automated Weather Observation System (AWOS III) located on the airport; and pilot controlled lighting.

DTMA is designed to accommodate private, small general aviation aircraft to large corporate aircraft (including DC-9 and 737 type aircraft).

Airport amenities include a conference room facility, airport courtesy cars, a pilot lounge and self serve fuel.

The new long range corporate aircraft can take off out of DeKalb and go non-stop to Europe or China with the runway length we have to offer.
