City Continues FY2006 Annual Budget Process

The Monday, May 16, 2005 Council workshop will focus on the General Fund (operating) and Special Funds.  DeKalb.  The Tuesday, May 17, 2005 Special Meeting will focus on the Capital Funds and review of funding requests from outside agencies.  Another Special Meeting has been tentatively scheduled  for Thursday, May 19, 2005, if needed.  These sessions will start at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.

 

The DeKalb City Council began its preliminary FY2006 Annual Budget process on Tuesday, February 22, 2005 with a review of the proposed Capital Improvements Program for the upcoming fiscal year.  Staff presented recommendations for various public infrastructure improvements (e.g., streets, sidewalks, bridge repairs, etc.) as well as for vehicle and equipment purchases (e.g., police squad cars, snow plows, etc.).   The Monday, March 21, 2005 Council workshop focused on the City’s year end financial projections for FY2005 (current fiscal year) and the FY2006 preliminary Annual General Fund Budget for DeKalb.  The General Fund is the largest of all City funds and finances DeKalb’s daily operations.
