CDBG is a federally funded program intended to increase housing, community and economic opportunities for low and moderate-income residents of the City of DeKalb.
The City of DeKalb is required by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to submit a Consolidated Plan every five years plus an annual One Year Action Plan which describes community needs, resources, priorities and proposed activities to be undertaken under CDBG. The City of DeKalb will receive an estimated $400,000 in CDBG funds for Program Year 2018 (April 1, 2018- March 31, 2019).

30-Day Comment Period
The 2018 Proposed Annual Action Plan is subject to consideration and public input by DeKalb City Council and members of the community. All interested citizens are invited to submit written comments during the 30-day review period beginning March 24, 2018 until April 23, 2018.

Citizens are invited to attend and provide input on the 2018 Proposed Annual Action Plan at a Public Hearing to be held on April 23, 2018 at the regular meeting of City Council. The meeting will be held starting at 6:00PM in Council Chambers at 200 South Fourth Street, DeKalb, IL 60115.
